Jeet Kune Do/Jun Fan Gung Fu
Jeet
Kune Do/Jun Fan Gung Fu is the training methods and techniques originally
developed by Bruce Lee. Jeet Kune Do incorporates kicking, punching,
trapping hands, and joint locking/grappling.
Bruce Lee researched and experimented with methods from many systems
of martial arts, using the essence of these arts in their given
ranges. The methods had to be practical and economical, with no
wasted motion. Some of the arts he drew from are: Wing Chun kung
fu, boxing, fencing, Savate, Tai Chi Chuan and Jujitsu.
We teach Bruce Lee's original curriculum and training methods from
1964-1973, as passed down to us from Sifu Dan Inosanto, heir to
Jeet Kune Do and the only person ever given 3rd rank (instructor
level) in Jeet Kune Do personally by Bruce Lee. We are the only
school in Arkansas certified to teach Jeet Kune Do by Sifu Inosanto. |

KALI
Kali
is one of the most highly efficient and sophisticated weapons and
empty-hands systems in the world. Unlike most martial art systems,
both weaponry and empty hands are taught together because the principles
are common to both and are inter-changeable.
Armed or unarmed, the student learns to relate to all situations
using the same concepts of body angling, positioning and flowing.
Known mainly for its use of weapons, kali develops attributes such
as speed, agility, timing, body mechanics, and left and right side
neuromuscular coordination.
We teach the Inosanto method of Filipino Kali. Guro Dan Inosanto
has developed this method based on his many years of study with
over 25 different Filipino masters in Kali/Eskrima.

MUAY THAI - THAI BOXING
Muay
Thai, also called Thai Boxing, is the national martial art of Thailand.
Many people think of Thai Boxing as only a kickboxing ring sport,
but it is much more. Besides proving itself as the toughest ring
sport through its use of kicks, punches, elbows, knees and standing
grappling, Thai boxing is excellent for street self-defense. For
this reason, Muay Thai is sometimes called the science of the eight
limbs. It is also known for having the strongest kick in the martial
arts.
The training itself is a great workout and develops physical and
mental conditioning, toughness and a "keep-going" attitude.
Marc McFann is certified by Ajarn Chai Sirisute, founder of the
Thai Boxing Association of the USA. Ajarn Chai is the first-ever
Thai boxing instructor to teach Americans this art.
Whether your goal is to compete, to gain some practical self-defense
skills, to become an instructor in Muay Thai, or just to become
fit, we can help you to reach your goals.

JKD GRAPPLING
JKD Grappling is a combination of standing grappling and ground
fighting methods found in many different arts. Our main training
method is submission grappling. Judo, Jujitsu and Wrestling make
up a significant part of our JKD Grappling but it also contains
many other approaches.
Some of these systems include Dumog, as taught by Guro Dan Inosanto,
Brazilian Jujitsu, as taught by the Machado Brothers, Mande Muda
Silat, as taught by Pendekar Herman Suwanda, and Shooto, as taught
by Sensei Erik Paulson. It also contains elements from Thai Boxing,
Hapkido and Kempo.

Sifu Larry Hartsell, student of Bruce Lee and longtime student
and friend of Sifu Dan Inosanto, was blending various grappling
systems with boxing, Thai boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Silat and
other arts long before grappling was enjoying its new-found popularity
of recent years. Sifu Larry Hartsell is considered the number-one
pioneer of JKD Grappling.
